Our school uniform represents our unique connection to mana i te whenua, and our school’s educational history, from Hamilton Day School, to Hamilton Technical High School, to Fraser High School.
We are privileged to wear our school taonga. Our Panerua importantly connects our school to Ngaati Maahanga, and Waikato iwi, Tainui waka. We are the only school in Aotearoa that retains the right to wear our Panerua.
Wearing the correct uniform is a way to keep our students safe and easily identifiable on the school grounds and in the community. We know who belongs to us, so we can clearly identify people who should not be in school.
Our uniforms’ designs are also informed by student voice. We ask students to Learn with Purpose, Engage with Pride, Act with Respect and Dare to Succeed when wearing our School uniform; at events representing the school, and travelling to and from school.
