We believe our aakonga (learners) must be equipped to recognise and make the most of all opportunities in school, their communities, and the world. At Fraser we have focused teams who can provide real-world experience, mentoring and advice, giving each aakonga access to learning and resources to achieve in their chosen pathway.
Vocational Learning
The Vocational department supports students through industry-specific work experience, site visits, and practical short courses – including forklift licensing, first aid, and learner licenses. They also coordinate all tertiary visits and polytechnic transitions. Students interested in exploring these opportunities are encouraged to visit the Vocational Office
Hauora Centre
The Hauora Centre is our purpose-built ‘one-stop centre’ to meet the physical and psychological hauora (health) needs of Fraser aakonga.
Students can access:

Hei Taniwha aspires to foster pride within our aakonga, encouraging them to embrace their culture and everything that comes with it. Aakonga are supported through their academic learning, pastoral care and attendance.

Aiga Tasi Waka Group
Our identity empowers us to learn and celebrate as tamaiti (children) of the Pacific. Aiga e Tasi translates to “One Family” in Gagana Sāmoa. Aiga Tasi is a family where we strive to live our values, share our beliefs and use our experiences to navigate as LEADers at Fraser and toward the future.

He Puaawai Young Parents' Centre
He Puaawai Young Parents’ Centre is a school that provides an educational pathway for pregnant and parenting students in a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment. Our team is passionate about supporting our community to thrive as both parents and learners. We are funded for up to 30 students at any time.

We accept enrolments who are pregnant or parenting students under the age of 19. Enrolment meetings can be organised with:

He Kaakano Support Centre
Aakonga (learners) learn best when they feel accepted, enjoy positive relationships, and they can be active, visible members of the school community. The Support Centre staff provide inclusive learning contexts with genuine care and aroha.
English for Speakers of Other Languages
English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) programmes teach English to people whose first language is not English, but who live in a predominantly English-speaking country and require English to communicate in daily life and to access learning in other subjects.We provide rich language experiences for our aakonga/learners, in a variety of learning contexts.
